Appareil pour simuler des environnements hypoxiques.

General Description:

The Hypoxicator is an altitude simulation device designed to reduce the oxygen concentration in the air inspired by the athlete. It is extensively used for hypoxic training (Live Low – Train High, or Live High – Train Low methods) to significantly improve endurance and overall aerobic performance.

Technical Characteristics:

Simulated O₂ Concentration Range: 9% – 21%

Simulated Altitude: 0 – 6,500 m (depending on the specific model)

Air Flow Rate: 60 – 100 L/min (adjustable)

Filtration: Integrated high-efficiency air purification system

Modes of Operation:

  • Individual hypoxic mask
  • Hypoxic tent or hypoxic chamber

Power Supply: 220–240 V / 50–60 Hz

Weight: 10 – 25 kg (depending on the model)

Interface: Digital display with real-time FiO₂ (Fraction of Inspired Oxygen) control

Safety Features: Automatic alarms (for dangerously low O₂ levels or airflow failure)

Applications:

  • Hypoxic training for elite endurance athletes
  • Pre-acclimatization prior to traveling to high altitudes
  • Scientific research in exercise physiology and sports medicine
  • Clinical studies related to hypoxia and adaptation

 Advantages:

  • Accurate simulation of high altitude environments without the need for geographical travel
  • Suitable for both individual and group training sessions
  • Cost-effective alternative compared to prolonged high-altitude training camps
  • Real-time control and precise monitoring of the inspired oxygen fraction (FiO₂)
